MyCom of Cleveland and Saving Our Daughters has partnered up once again to inspire young ladies in the Cuyahoga County Schools, to focus on “Social Emotional Learning”.

On Thursday, September 6th MyCom, Saving Our Daughters and Radio One Z-107.9 partnered up with “Esme & Roy,” a new Sesame Street animated series for over 125 excited kindergarten girls at Abraham Lincoln Elementary in Maple Heights, Ohio. The new school partnership was introduced by Kasey T. Morgan, Network Director of MyCom and the event was hosted by Z 107.9’s Assistant of Promotions, Bria Eslick and MyCom Neighborhood Coordinator, Maple and Warrensville Heights Communities, Brenda Pryor.

Esme & Roy is the latest example of Sesame Workshop’s long history of empowering girls around the world,” said Jackie Gagne, Vice President of Multicultural Marketing, HBO. “HBO is excited to build on this work by partnering with Saving Our Daughters, helping ensure future generations of girls are prepared for success.”

During the presentation, a special celebrity guest, popped in to help encourage the girls within their learning message,  Elmo, surprised the girls and introduced the new animated series, “Esme & Roy.” Also, Elmo helped pass out the series’ backpacks, which were filled with NY Times Best Selling children’s book, “I am Enough” authored by the Fox network Empire’s actress, Grace Byers.  Abraham Lincoln Elementary school, parent, Rayikia Shields, stated, “I know my daughter enjoyed herself, [she] could not stop talking about her day, [and] I read the book about four times to her already.”
