Out of School Time is a supervised program that youth regularly attend when school is not in session. This can include before- and after- school programs.
Out Of School time programs deliver activities to promote positive youth development which may include but are not limited to the following:academic support; educational enrichment; STEM (science, technology, engineering and math), cultural and social development; recreation; sports; fitness and wellness; visual and performing arts; tutoring and homework services; civic engagement; leadership skills; career exploration; service learning; college preparation; and development of the whole child.

Starting Point is Northeast Ohio’s child care, early education and out-of school time resource and referral agency. Serving families, youth, professionals and the community.
Starting Point works to enhance early childhood and out-of-school time (OST) experiences. We’re the go-to organization Northeast Ohio families, youth, professionals and community organizations turn to for the resources they need to give children the quality care, learning and activities that lead to success in school and in life
MyCom is also partners with the National Afterschool Alliance and is a Leadership Member of the Ohio Afterschool Network.
MyCom will enact our mission with race and equality at the forefront of our work as we always have. We will use our thought-leadership, funding, advocacy, and network to redesign service delivery. Together we will rethink infrastructure and create solutions that eliminate access to healthcare, cyclical poverty, access to quality education, housing stability, and other barriers that have impacted black lives.
