MyCom, in partnership with the City of Cleveland, has implemented the Youth Participatory Action Research (YPAR) project as a strategy to engage youth in policies and programs that impact their lives.
YPAR is a youth development model that engages youth as researchers and experts on their own experiences that can, in turn, harness those youth voices to speak on issues that are impacting their lives with decision-makers and community leaders.
Youth and adults work as partners to learn about research methods to work as a team to identify and conduct research on an issue that impacts their lives, peers, and communities.

MyCom will enact our mission with race and equality at the forefront of our work as we always have. We will use our thought-leadership, funding, advocacy, and network to redesign service delivery. Together we will rethink infrastructure and create solutions that eliminate access to healthcare, cyclical poverty, access to quality education, housing stability, and other barriers that have impacted black lives.
