Neighborhood – St. Clair Superior
How you were involved in MyCom – I am one of the core St. Clair Superior Youth Council members who started our Successful Teen Center that’s located off of E82nd St.Clair at Saint Phillip Neri church.
High School – Glenville High School, 2014 Graduate
College – Lakeland Community Collegey
Graduation Year – I graduated from Tri-C in 2017 with an Associate of Applied Business with a Concentration on Graphic Design. I will be earning my bachelors of Art degree from Cleveland State University by 2020.
What was a lesson you learned while in MyCom that has helped you in life?
Through my years participating in MyCom I have learned that no matter how young or how old you may be, if we all work together we can make a difference in the world by starting off with our community.
What is a piece of advice you would give to MyCom youth today?
My advice to the youth of today would be to grasp every opportunity that life hands to you because every experience is a experience worth taking and learning from.
Have you continued to be connected to MyCom and in what capacity?
I still participate in leading the young minds of today every summer I am the Lead Artist for our Teen Summer program, where I teach youth how to give back to the community while beautifying the neighborhood through Art.
What do you hope to be doing in 2-3 years?
In 2-3 years I will be a successful business owner.
MyCom will enact our mission with race and equality at the forefront of our work as we always have. We will use our thought-leadership, funding, advocacy, and network to redesign service delivery. Together we will rethink infrastructure and create solutions that eliminate access to healthcare, cyclical poverty, access to quality education, housing stability, and other barriers that have impacted black lives.
