MyCom Reflects on the Powered by Youth Voice: Future Directions for Afterschool Survey Released by Our Partner, Every Hour Counts

What do young people find meaningful about their current experiences in their afterschool programs?

When asked how meaningful their afterschool activities are, young people most frequently ranked “acting in leadership roles” (59% of respondents) and “learning how to manage money” (57%) as Quite or Very Meaningful.

Young people rated the words “safe” (88% of respondents), “fun” (84%), and “supportive” (83%) as Quite or Very Important when considering their afterschool activities.
