A business administration scholar in the School of Business and Industry at Florida A&M University, Joshua Nickerson has joined MyCom as a summer intern.
While at MyCom, Joshua is creating content for our social media platforms and working with the team to highlight families benefitting from the work of MyCom partners.
Joshua has actively engaged in the campus and greater Tallahassee community at Florida A&M. He is a Resident Assistant in FAMU student housing and serves as chapter treasurer for the Collegiate 100, a campus-based student organization supporting the development of social, emotional, and educational needs of youth who need positive role models in the communities in which they live. Joshua is also an active member in FAMU’s chapter of Scholars of Finance, a national organization on a mission to inspire character and integrity in the finance leaders of tomorrow.
Joshua expects to complete his degree in Spring, 2025, and hopes to take his experiences to a career in the finance sector.
MyCom will enact our mission with race and equality at the forefront of our work as we always have. We will use our thought-leadership, funding, advocacy, and network to redesign service delivery. Together we will rethink infrastructure and create solutions that eliminate access to healthcare, cyclical poverty, access to quality education, housing stability, and other barriers that have impacted black lives.
