MyCom celebrates a feature focusing on the Central Youth Council, a peer-to-peer leadership group facilitated by Jerry Rugley, MyCom Youth Coordinator for the Central Neighborhood. Signal Cleveland’s Najee Hall spent time learning about the group, observed a group meeting, and interviewed Jerry and participating youths. In Friday’s article, he wrote about challenges impacting the lives of our young people in their schools and communities and actions the Central Youth Council is taking to develop solutions.

MyCom will enact our mission with race and equality at the forefront of our work as we always have. We will use our thought-leadership, funding, advocacy, and network to redesign service delivery. Together we will rethink infrastructure and create solutions that eliminate access to healthcare, cyclical poverty, access to quality education, housing stability, and other barriers that have impacted black lives.
